WarrantyHaven collects nothing. There is no account, no server of ours, and no tracking. Your receipts, photos and item records stay on your iPhone and, if you choose, in your own private iCloud.
The short version
- We do not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data.
- WarrantyHaven has no backend. There is no server we could store your data on.
- Receipt text recognition runs entirely on your device. Photos never leave it.
- There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no third-party trackers in this app.
- You are never asked to create an account or provide an email address.
What the app stores, and where
On your device
Everything you enter — item names, merchants, purchase dates, prices, serial numbers, notes, receipt images and item photos — is stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone. It is protected by iOS file encryption and your device passcode.
In your own iCloud
If you are signed in to iCloud, the app mirrors your vault to the private database of your personal iCloud account so it appears on your other devices. This data belongs to you and lives under your Apple Account. We have no access to it, and no ability to read, recover or delete it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app works exactly the same way, entirely offline.
Nowhere else
No copy of your data is sent to us or to any third party.
Device permissions
Camera optional
Used only when you choose to photograph a receipt or an item. The image is processed on your device using Apple's on-device text recognition to pre-fill the store, date and amount, then saved locally with the item. It is never uploaded.
Photos optional
The app uses the system photo picker. Only the specific image you pick is handed to the app — it has no access to the rest of your photo library.
Notifications optional
Used for return-window and warranty-expiry reminders. These are local notifications, scheduled and delivered by your device. Nothing is sent through a server. If you decline notification permission, the rest of the app keeps working normally.
Background app refresh
If iCloud sync is active, iOS may wake the app to pull down changes you made on another one of your devices. This traffic is between your devices and Apple's iCloud only.
Purchases
WarrantyHaven Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. The app checks your purchase status with Apple's StoreKit and stores no payment information of its own. Apple's handling of transaction data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Exports you create
You can export a CSV of your items or a PDF claim report at any time — free, forever, whether or not you have purchased Pro. These files are generated on your device and then go wherever you send them: your own Files app, email, a message, or your insurer. Once a file leaves the app, it is governed by whatever service you sent it through, not by this policy. Please treat claim reports as sensitive: they list what you own and what it is worth.
Deleting your data
- Individual items: delete them in the app; the receipt image goes with them.
- Everything on this device: delete the app. iOS removes its local storage entirely.
- The iCloud copy: because it is in your own iCloud account, you control it — iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. We cannot delete it for you, because we cannot reach it.
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to delete, export or correct on request. Rights such as access, portability and erasure under the GDPR, the CCPA and similar laws are satisfied by the fact that no collection ever takes place — your copy is the only copy.
Children
WarrantyHaven is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Should a future version of the app ever collect anything at all, that change will be disclosed here and in the App Store privacy label before it ships.
